Breathwork Coaching

with Martin Adby, Certified Oxygen Advantage® Functional Breathing Instructor

Breathwork coaching uses the Oxygen Advantage® method to help improve breathing efficiency in daily life, exercise, and recovery.


Through practical breathing techniques and personalised guidance, the goal is to help you develop healthier breathing habits that support calm, focus, performance, and overall wellbeing.

What Is the Oxygen Advantage® Method?

The Oxygen Advantage® is a science-based breathing method designed to improve breathing efficiency in daily life, physical movement, and recovery.


The approach focuses on three interconnected areas — Body, Mind, and Sport — helping to optimise breathing patterns, improve tolerance to carbon dioxide and oxygen delivery, and reduce unnecessary breathing stress.


By retraining how you breathe, the method aims to support:


  • More efficient oxygen delivery
  • Improved calm, focus, and stress resilience
  • Enhanced physical performance and endurance
  • Improved breathing during sleep and improved sleep quality


As a Certified Oxygen Advantage® Instructor, I use these principles to help you apply functional breathing techniques in a practical, realistic way that fits around your lifestyle.

Is Breathwork Coaching Suitable?

 Breathwork coaching using the Oxygen Advantage® method may be suitable if you:


  • Are interested in developing healthier, more functional breathing habits
  • Experience stress or anxiety and want practical tools to support calm, focus and flow
  • Want to improve breathing during sleep to support deeper, more restorative sleep, helping you feel more refreshed and energised 
  • Exercise regularly and want to reduce breathlessness and improve efficiency
  • Are an athlete looking to improve performance, endurance, or recovery
  • Want to improve your overall health, wellbeing  or quality of life
  • Would like to develop practical tools to quieten the mind, increase awareness and bring greater attention to the present moment


No prior experience with breathwork is required.


The techniques are designed to integrate into everyday life and existing routines, rather than adding complexity or overwhelm.

Functional Breathwork – Taster Session (45 mins) - £60

A practical, guided session designed to introduce you to functional breathing.


This session focuses on simple, effective breathing techniques that you can begin using immediately to support stress management, improve focus, and promote relaxation.

What the session includes

  • Introduction to functional breathing and how it influences how you feel
  • Guided practical breathing techniques that you can use immediately
  • How and when to apply these techniques in everyday life

What you’ll gain

  • A clearer understanding of functional breathing
  • Practical tools you can use straight away
  • Simple techniques to support relaxation, focus, and stress management

Who this is for

This session is suitable if you: 


  • are new to breathwork
  • want simple tools you can use when needed to improve how you feel
  • want to gain a basic understanding before committing to a structured programme

Next Steps

If you’d like to go further and develop your breathing in a more structured way, coaching packages are available to support longer-term progress.


These focus on a deeper, more personalised approach to functional breathing and the practical techniques used to support long-term improvement and wellbeing.

Breathwork Starter Package - £249

Introduction to Functional Breathing

 3-Sessions


A structured introduction to functional breathing using the Oxygen Advantage® method.

What's Included

  • 3 x 1:1 video sessions delivered over 3 weeks - Session 1 (90 minutes), Sessions 2–3 (60 minutes) 
  • Email and WhatsApp messaging support with check-ins to support progress and consistency

What we’ll cover

  • Functional  vs dysfunctional breathing
  • Benefits of functional breathing
  • Breathing assessment and BOLT score (with feedback)
  • Oxygen Advantage® functional breathing exercises and integrating into daily life
  • Use of  products to support nasal breathing and sleep quality
  • Using the Oxygen Advantage® app to support progress


At the end of the three sessions, you’ll receive a personalised breathing plan tailored to your goals to help improve your BOLT score and functional breathing.


This package is ideal if you’re new to breathwork or the Oxygen Advantage® method.

Breathwork Development Package - £320

 4 Coaching sessions included (60 minutes) 


This package is designed for those who want to continue developing their breathing practice after the introductory sessions or focus on specific breathing goals.

What’s included

  • 4 × 60-minute practical and personalised coaching sessions
  • Progression of breathing exercises based on individual goals
  • Implementing breathing techniques in daily life and where helpful
  • Email and WhatsApp messaging support 


This format allows greater consistency and deeper learning, helping you build lasting improvements in breathing efficiency.

Additional Breathwork Sessions - £90 per session

(60 minutes per session) 


Additional sessions are available for those who would like continued guidance, review progress, or explore specific areas of breathing in more depth.


Examples may include:


• Breathing for running and exercise
• Stress regulation and nervous system balance
• Respiratory muscle training
• Flow state


Clients who wish to continue structured development may also choose to book another 4-session package.

Important Information

  • All sessions are delivered remotely via video call unless otherwise agreed
  • Written follow-ups or guidance notes may be provided where appropriate
  • Breathwork coaching is educational and non-medical in nature and does not replace professional healthcare 
  • Email and WhatsApp messaging support - I aim to respond as soon as I can, typically within 48 hours, though response times may vary

What Happens Next?

Step 1: Get in touch to book your package


Once you’ve decided to proceed, you’ll  get in touch to confirm which package you would like to book or ask any questions you may have beforehand. I will then send you an invoice for payment if appropriate.


Step 2: Complete your onboarding forms


Before the first session, you’ll receive:


  • An Oxygen Advantage® Client Intake Form / Questionnaire
  • Breathwork Coaching Informed Consent Form
  • MDA Personal Coaching Terms of Business


These help me understand your breathing habits, goals, and background, and ensure coaching is delivered safely and appropriately.


Step 3: Review & confirmation


Once payment has been received and your onboarding forms are completed and returned, I’ll review them and confirm the next steps before we begin coaching.
